FG Resumes Work On Abandoned Mangu-Bokkos-Wamba Road

The Federal Government has reportedly resumed the construction of the Mangu-Bokkos-Wamba road which was abandoned for the past eight years.

A federal lawmaker, Solomon Maren, disclosed this on Wednesday in Mangu while flagging off his 2020 constituency empowerment programme.

Maren who represents Mangus/Bokkos federal constituency said the delayed was due to litigations which had stalled the progress of work but is now resolved.

“I want to inform you that the litigations which had stalled the progress of work for the Panyam-Bokkos and Wamba road has since been resolved, what is left now is for the Federal Government to re-award the contract to a more competent company, myself and the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives are working tirelessly to ensure this is done.

“However, currently work is ongoing at the Phase 3 which is Wamba-Wanze, I am optimistic that in due time work will resume,” he said.

The lawmaker explained that the resumption on the road construction was achieved through his synergy.
