Nasarawa Youth Groups Throws Support Behind Anti Corruption Fight

The Nasarawa Youth Initiative for Peace and Good Leadership, has thrown its support behind the ongoing fight against corruption under the present government led by President Muhammadu Buhari.

The group made this known while paying a courtesy call on the Kaduna zonal head of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mr. Yakubu Mailafia Agabi, on Wednesday. 

Led by NYIPGL President/Chairman, Barrister Faruk Mohammed Ofoku, members of the group undertook the visit to discuss areas of partnership and collaboration, as part of the efforts to not only support the fight against corruption but also emancipate the youths of Nasarawa State.

While describing Agabi as a worthy son of the state, Ofoku said the youths are proud of his achievements and are ready to identify with him and support the EFCC in the fight against corruption. 

The chairman of the youths group used the opportunity of the visit to acquaint the EFCC zonal head, on the activities of the group, being a platform meant to bring about peace, unity and development in Nasarawa State. 

 NYIPGL, according to the chairman, is also promoting humanitarian services, youths and women empowerment, human capacity  development and youths inclusiveness in governance, with membership base of the organisation cutting across the 13 Local Government Areas of the State.

"We are moving and creating awareness that will ensure the realization of the aims and objectives of this noble initiative", Ofoku told their host.
