Northern Youths Laud Sardauna's Virtuousness

The Coalition of Northern Nigeria Ethnic Youth Leaders (CONNEYL) has exalted the virtues of the Late premier of Northern Nigeria as legacy in service.

erly program in commemoration of the life and time of Late Sardauna, he extolled the virtues, selflessness, sacrifices, dedication of Sardauna service to humanity. CONNEYL made this charge to Northern Leaders that some of the myriad challenges facing the country, vis-a-vis banditry, insurgency, religious crisis etc most particularly in the north is absence of clear cut Leadership provided by late Sardauna and the likes.

According to the Coalition, Nigerians of decent must begin to take responsibility of the decay in society, provides Leadership, build enduring institutions, increase human capacity and manpower, build futuristic infrastructures for the generation to come.

The Coalition urged that the sacrifices made by the late Sardauna made the regionexpense ofstronomically to be at par with other regions of the country and built institutions that are still viable and have become beacon of light for progress and development of the country. I made bold to say to if the current leaders govern with Patriotism, selflessness and sacrifices of late Sardauna Nigeria would be a better place for all.

The group spokesman Gambo Abu Mohammed further averred that above any other leader of Northern extraction Sardauna was a unifying factor devoid of sentiment or religious bias as encapsulated in one of his famous quote " Here in Northern Nigeria, we have People of many different races, tribes and religion who are knit together to common history, common interest and common ideas, the things that unite us are stronger than the things that divide us, I always people of our firm rooted policy of religious tolerance, we have no intention of favouring one religion at the expense of another"
